3月2日木曜日、定刻の9時45分に福岡空港を出発し、オーストラリア研修が始まった。

滑走路に落下物があっため、予定より10分ほど遅い15時30分にシンガポール、チャンギ空港に到着した。

ガイドのヴァン・ビンセントさんの案内で、まずマーライオン公園を訪れた。生徒たちはマーライオンとマリーナベイサンズホテルをバックに写真を撮っていた。

あいにくの雨で、生徒たちは「晴れていたら良かったのに」と残念そうであった。

昔郵便局だった現在のフラートンホテルを訪問し、昔の郵便局だった時代の写真などを見学した。

マリーナベイサンズホテルの地下のフードコートでそれぞれ夕食を取った後、屋上の展望台に登り、シンガポールの街並みを眺めた。ここでも雨のため、最高のフォトショットとはならなかった。生徒たちはビルの多さに驚いていた。

マリーナベイでの光のショーを楽しんだ後、チャンギ空港に向かい、夜中の12時10分にシンガポールを離れ、今回の目的地であるオーストラリアのアデレードを目指した。

アデレード空港には現地時間8：54分に到着し、国際交流担当のニコラさんとフィオナさんが我々を出迎えてくれた。

学校が手配してくれたバスでOur Lady of the Sacred Heart College (OLSH)に向かい、6人の本校の生徒たちは、お世話をしてくれるバディのOLSHの生徒たちと一緒に早速４時間目の授業を受けた。

A group of six students from Kaisei have had the chance to study at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College (OLSH), located in Adelaide, Australia. The students will be there for a short-term study exchange. OLSH has been connected to Fukuoka Kaisei Girls’ High School for over 20 years, and is also an all-girls catholic school. Students were very lucky to have the opportunity to explore through Singapore before landing in Australia. Students have an eventful 10 days ahead of them, including a history class trip to the local museum, athletics day, as well as a Japanese cultural performance students will perform to students.
